One thing that I think would have a huge impact is if prescription drug companies where no longer allowed to advertise their products in magazines and newspapers. People see an ad and think “oh, maybe I need that drug!” and hound their doctor into giving it to them. Advertising makes people think that using a drug or product is normal and desirable which is something that directly leads to prescription drug abuse.

My son is on Geodon to treat his bipolar and ive been finding pills missing. I think he’s either taking them or selling them. So i was wondering what the affects are if abused.

don’t do it. Even if it’s not legal does not mean you can’t get it. Snorting novocaine can kill you or leave you brain dead. Just because the name has “caine” in it does not mean it will get you high and as for whats the leathal dose, everyone has diffrent levels of tolarance and also depends on how much other abuse has been inflicted on the body and how much more it can take.

Alright, im 19, my birthday is oct 1, my girlfriend is 16, birthday oct 13, we were introduced with the belief that she was 17. we haven’t had any sexual contact what so ever. The were not going to (because they were drunk off there ass;s) I’ve had a lot of shit relationships an I think this time it might be something more. I’m about to enroll in college for criminal justice to be a police officer. Can someone please tell me everything I can possibly do, from emancipation to anything please. Time is the only true test of love and I’m not letting go..

I am searching tirelessly for a number to call or someone to see regarding my bf’s moms prescription drug abuse. It is to the point where she is physically deterierating. Does anyone know what I can do here? Nobody in the family knows the extent of her abuse therefore they dont support an intervention. Is there a number where I can report her? Or her hospital?? Please help
