i have a drug and alcohol problem.i need inpatient help or i’m going to die.. can any one help?i live in birmingham,alabama.i am homeless and that makes my addiction that much worse.i have tryed out patient and that did not work.PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Go to the emergency room and say you are sick, they will do a tox screen when they draw you blood, the tox panel tests for most illegal drugs as well as some common prescription drugs. If you test positive they may put you in a state sponsored detox program as a result of an overdose.

My husband was admitted to a rehab facility 60 miles away from me on Friday after walking to his unioon representative and telling them he had a problem. I had no idea but he had been taking xanax that was prescribed by a doctor since august, was taking them before that by getting them off the streets and has been on prescription pain killers (i knew that) for about a year but he runs out about 2 weeks early and gets them off the street. He has had an emtional relationship with another woman for the last 2 months through text messaging… all kinds of stuff is coming out now that he is there. I am going to an al-anon meeting locally on thursday but am having a really hard time finding support for people with family members who are abusing narcotic prescription drugs. Does anyone know of any online resources?? I live in Indiana…

Hey there. I am a 14 year old black boy. So yea, i have this HUGE addiction to my computer because of my games there, my long distance relationship with my girlfriend, and my best 2 friends (also long distanced). I usually tell myself in my mind “There’s enough time to do my projects and homework” and before i know it, it’s bedtime. My grades are slightly slipping and my mother is really unhappy about that, especially myself. Please, i need help to stop my addiction. Thanks in advance 🙂

My doctor wrote me a 30 day prescription for darvocet for my severe fibromyalgia pain. 3 a day basically. I had a particularly bad flare up and had to take 1 and a 1/2 about 4-5 times a day to just get through it (I know, I should have called and asked, but I’d been told by this doctor before that I could do that). I’m about out, and I called to ask the pharmacy when I could get it filled, and she said no earlier than Nov. 21, which is exactly 30 days after I had it filled. But I’ve gotten my refill a week or so early before on other occasions. I talked to my doctor, and he doesn’t want to refill it early, and wants to try physical therapy instead. But, I’m in a lot of pain, and while I can handle it now, I don’t know if I can take it for two more weeks. And I can’t really afford physical therapy.
