I am a mother here in San Francisco pissed that the pre-school system is BIASED AGAINST working parents with healthy children.
I have been turned away from school after school after school TRULY because I work, and TRULY because there is NOTHING wrong with my Kid mental or physical. I DO NOT get beat, I AM able bodied. I AM NOT on drugs. I LIKE to work – willingly believe it or not. And I’m a VALUED employee, because I MUST keep my job – And WE get turned down – Where did we go wrong? What am I doing wrong? Does anyone remember that commercial from the 80’s for a drug and alcohol treatment center? They used to run the commercial constantly (at least in Southern Cal), I think the place was called Schick or New Beginnings. What was the name of the song that played in the background during the commercial? It is a very famous classical piece that sounds a lot like Canon D (the wedding song) but it’s not. They used it in the A&E show “Intervention” the other day so it appears to be synonymous with addiction and treatment. If you know it you’re a genius!

My friend has 2 felony drug possessions on her record. They were back in 2004 & 2006. She has served time and willingly entered into a drug rehab program. Her and her son are trying to make a fresh start and she desperately needs a job. So does anyone have any suggestions? She is willing to work any shift. Please help.

Your friend could try to get into the food service. Have to put down the convictions, but then also say that she entered into a treatment program. Good luck to your friend

Any sauce that calls for alcohol essentially becomes non alcoholic after the cooking process because the alcohol gets cooked out so you could just make it the way it is supposed to be and you should be fine. Good luck!
