Where Can I Find Information on Pain Addiction to Write a Paper On?
Question by : Where can I find information on Pain Addiction to write a paper on?
I’m talking about real addiction to pain. Not pain pills or the pain(s) of being addicted to something. The actual addiction to causing yourself pain such as always getting into a horrible relationship or situations where pain will be the outcome. Haven’t been able to find much info except on personal made websites where someone writes their theory and thoughts on the subject. Need professional, documented work for a paper I’m writing for a school. Any websites, books, info, etc. will be much appreciated. Thank you everyone for your time. Take care and have a great and happy new year.
Thank you very much everyone. Really appreciate it.
What Are Some Harsh but True Quotes? (Not Necessarily Insulting, Just Harsh.)?
Question by Army ROTC Cadet Beckman: What are some harsh but true quotes? (Not necessarily insulting, just harsh.)?

Answer by Jo W
These are some harsh quotes about addiction, but they are very true and insightful –
“Every form of addiction is bad, no matter whether the narcotic be alcohol or morphine or idealism.” – Carl Gustav Jung
“It is not heroin or cocaine that makes one an addict, it is the need to escape from a harsh reality. There are more television addicts, more baseball and football addicts, more movie addicts, and certainly more alcohol addicts in this country than there are narcotics addicts.” – Shirley Chisholm
The Social Effects of Drug Abuse?
Question by Reaper: The social effects of drug abuse?
Other than effecting people around them, what happens besides that? Especially to the ones who are using it(again, not around them).
If this was you, how would you solve this problem? Other than seeking professional helps?
PS: This is just a what if situation. I just made it up so don’t worry. Anyways, what’s your solution to this?

Answer by Mark R
The biggest effect is jail. That and the stoners buy up all the jolly ranchers. The solution is to end drug prohibition and give a federal grant to the jolly rancher company.
Bay Area Alcohol in-Patient Rehab Options?
Question by mikeyb: Bay Area Alcohol In-Patient Rehab Options?
Hi Folks. I need your help. My sister is an alcoholic and my family and I feel it would be best for her to commit to an in-patient rehab program. She’s already gone to AA meetings and has multiple DUIs. The problem is that we’re on a very tight budget as it is so it’s unlikely that we’ll be able to afford to pay for this. Are there any non-profit in-patient rehab programs in California (particularly bay area / monterey county)? If so, can someone point me in the right direction?

Best answer:
Answer by butanebird91
Death is common
So is a coma
And as for getting back what was lost, i really don’t know for sure, it depends on which drug and how much is taken. I smoke and I’ll tell you from experience that tobacco causes brain changes just like heroin and coke. Here’s the link and i’m talking about something so simple and legal as a ciggarette, what do you think drugs are gonna do to you man. I don’t know if you’re thinking about doing it but if so, may the Lord be w/ you!!!
