Annoying Insurance Company/ Rehab Program?
Question by dantedemon21: Annoying insurance company/ rehab program?
Ok I have recently found god and become a strong christian. I came home after tons and tons of drug issues from college. My parents are very supportive and my mom is a strong christian. Two centers have been trying to help us with the insurance companies. I want to go to a christian rehab center and the one that has a very very good ministry outreach program was denied because it was not on their list of recommended centers. My whole life I have had to deal with big corporations I am so sick of them and usually have luck when calling them. How should me and my parents handle this issue with the insurance? I mean it is complete bs that we pay them tons of money and when it comes time to actually do their jobs they are refusing to. Is their someone we can call to help us deal with them or something? I really feel that I am being lead to be at this facility does anyone have any suggestions at all. Please just be kind in responses no bs just logical solutions to this problem.
Christians: What Would Jesus Do in This Situation?
Question by blue moon: Christians: What would Jesus do in this situation?
Basically my best friend is a drug addict and hes in jail and is still using drugs in there as well which I just found out. Should I tell his family hes doing drugs in jail because they keep giving him so much money and hes using it for drugs, I know this. Also, would Jesus still be his friend and stand by him & help him to get clean?
Or would Jesus cut ties with him?
Please give scripture to back your answer.

Two UA Probation Violations?
Question by joesmith: Two UA probation violations?
State of laws: Kentucky
I am a 5 year probation for drug paraphanalia. Last month i tested dirty for marijuana for a probation drug test. I was ordered to do community service. I had another test this month and im pretty sure i will fail it as well. I will know if i did fail or not on my next PO meeting. What are the chances I will be put before a judge and ordered to serve jail time? Is there a chance i will be allowed to take drug rehab or classes instead even though its a second violation?
Mandatory Minimum Sentencing in NJ- Can It Be Avoided?
Question by Jody: Mandatory minimum sentencing in NJ- can it be avoided?
A dear friend of mine had to appear in court today on shoplifting & drug possession charges. His case was postponed because he had to apply for a public defender, because it’s his 3rd shoplifting charge and his 3rd drug charge so he is facing the possibility of mandatory minimum jail time. He is already on probation & parole for his previous charges in other towns, has successfully completed a community service program and is currently in an outpatient drug rehab program for probation 3 times a week. All of his charges are almost or over a year old; he completed a 6-month inpatient rehab program back in March and has been clean & sober for nearly 1 year now. He holds down a steady job and is very active & enthusiastic in a 12-step recovery fellowship, overall an extremely responsible & productive member of society today. So I guess my question is this: given the circumstances and the fact that he’s doing so well now, is there any way my friend could get his charges downgraded and/or avoid the mandatory minimum jail sentence (i.e. with more probation, community service etc)? I mean, would the PD be able to plea bargain it at all and/or would the prosecutor/judge have any kind of discretion whatsoever?
Getting Help for My Sister (Rehab)?
Question by ariel: Getting help for my sister (Rehab)?
My sister is a combination of things…
Drugs, Sex, Alcohol, and according to the police arrest suspected for prostitution.
My sister does not have a job has no future planned out and she is a high school dropout. The only thing good in her life is the roof over her head.
Myself and my brother are tired of her stupidity and want to get her help but don’t know how to go about that. Should we have her see a psychologist before rehab and see what they suggest?
Would DHS Put a 16 Year Old in State Custody Because of a Parents Drug Abuse?
Question by Ashley: Would DHS put a 16 year old in state custody because of a parents drug abuse?
My little brothers got put in state custody and now live with their father out of state because of my mother and my grandmothers drug abuse. My mom got limited visitation with my littlest brother also but they left me with my mom saying that I could pretty much take care of myself and was responsible enough to pay attention to her. She got out of rehab in June and right away started using again. I wasn’t sure whether she was using needles or just popping pills until two days ago I found 2 used needles, a spoon with burn marks on the bottom, and a baggy with white residue in it. I also intercepted our electric bill yesterday and we owe 470$ on it due to past due balances but she has been telling me all her money has been going to our bills. I am graduating this year, just got a job, and have a wonderful boyfriend and friends. I am in no danger and she has been doing this stuff for years and years but I feel like I should report her to DHS because that is the responsible thing to do but I am not willing to give up everything I have worked hard to have in my life because she wants to be a stupid junkie. Will DHS put me in foster care (I live in Oklahoma) if I report her do you think? Or should I wait until I am able to move out to report her?
