What Do You Think of This Quote?
Question by Claire K: What do you think of this quote?
I was reading a book about a woman who overcame drug addiction. It is a very old and odd ball book but I found it in an old bookstore. This quote struck me. What do you think of it?
“For three years, I swam in thick, gooey molasses which was sometimes warm and sometimes freezing. Sometimes very dark as well. I was quickly pulled out twice, but then slipped and fell in again. I am coming out again, this time, on my own.”

Second Marijuana Offense in Maryland?
Question by : Second Marijuana Offense in Maryland?
In June of 2008 I was pulled over and my car was searched and marijuana was found. I never received a court date. In November of 2008 I received a DUI with possession of marijuana. For that I was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 2 years of supervised probation. It is now May 2009 and I have just received a court summons for possession in June 2008. Since my DUI I have completed a 26-week drug and alcohol abuse program and have never had a dirty urinalysis for my probation officer. Since this is my second offense, yet I have completed a drug and alcohol abuse program and abstained from drug use for probation, what do you think the outcome of my trial will be?
I know I am guilty and will most likely plead guilty, but what could my sentence be?
My first offense was for 1.5 grams and my second is for .5 grams.
When Will the Government Start Caring About Welfare ABUSE?
Question by : When will the government start caring about welfare ABUSE?
I live by Chicago. My girlfriend works in a banquet hall, an African American woman tried to pay for a graduation party with a LINK card. When my girlfriend told her they didn’t accept it she said well most places do.
How much is this woman getting in welfare that she thinks she can pay off a $ 1000 payment with her LINK card? I don’t have one but I was under the impression it was supposed to be used for food not for a party.
Prescription Drug Addiction?
Question by *~mama mari~*: Prescription drug addiction?
A friend of mine who has an addiction to Vicodin and Percoset is finally quitting YAY!! He spoke with his doctor today and was told they are prescribing a patch and a “taper”. What do they mean by “taper”? Does this mean they’re going to slowly wean him off the drugs, or start having having him take less and less each day? Or is it an actual pill or somthing of that sort that helps to wean him off the pills? Can someone please answer? I can’t find anything online.
People without real answers that don’t know what they are talking about need not answer. This is a real question that desrves real answers.
How Do You Stop a Food Addiction?
Question by The other Kim K: How do you stop a food addiction?
I LOVE food, I love going to restaurants, I buy lunch everyday and I eat when I’m not even hungry. I have a very full daily schedule, but I’m eating constantly – almost all junk from fast food places, desserts from coffee shops, and the vending machines. My job and school are surrounded by tasty food places and everyone at both places always seems to be eating something good. I’m not obese or anything, but I’m afraid i could get very overweight one day if I don’t stop now. I gained 20 pounds in the past 8 months. How do I ween myself away from all that food?
