What Makes People Have Faith in One Particular Religion?

Question by Infinity: What makes people have faith in one particular religion?
Being raised to believe in that religion, a traumatic event in ones life or a church helping someone overcome an alcohol/drug addiction causing them to equate their new and improved self as that particular religions doing? Is there any other way to trigger blind faith?
